So, about a year ago, I wanted to teach Haven how to snow ski. I was so stoked to teach my little girl something I loved when I was her age. However, I found out that at that age you had to pay for Private Lesson, which I didn't have the money to pay for. Haven also didn't express that she was interested, so I didn't want to force her into it, and have her hate skiing.
Well this year was a little different. I wasn't excited to go this year (now that she is 4 years old). She also expressed that she was very excited to go skiing.
So night before, I frantically/nervously gathered all her warm clothes, packed a bag for extra clothes, made a lunch (which Melissa unpacked), repacked a lunch, checked and packed the car, checked the internet again to see if I had to make reservations for Group Lessons at Brighton, packed my stuff and a snow skate.
It was so hard to sleep.
What if she didn't have fun?
What if she was cold?
Would she listen to her instructor?
Would her instructor be nice and patient?
Would she be safe?
Day of. I woke up, made stuffed french toast for the fam, about crapped my pants because I was still nervous, and raced up to Brighton Resort. Frantically, we rented the gear, met the instructors, and about freakin' almost blew my aneurysm. However, Haven got into a class with some really great/patient instructors.
Best part... ....SHE LOVED IT AND ASKED IF SHE COULD COME BACK NEXT WEEK!!!!!
