Highs and Lows explained.

So I work with some amazing people. Yes, even some of the Radiologists are amazing. The Other day, a nurse was telling about how close her daughter and her are and how they communicate very well. She said it's partially because she has kept an open line of communication, and they talk everyday. She described one of the things that they talk about is their "HIGH of the day", or the part of their day that was the best from their personal perspective. She continued to tell me that they also discuss their "LOW of the day", of the part of their day that wasn't the best.

I thought this was really cool. I too, wanted to have a relationship with my kids that they could feel like they could tell me anything. So I started "High and Low" of the day awhile ago, and I was off to a rocky start. However, Haven has really caught on, and actually is consistently asking me everyday what my "High and Low" of the Day is.

Well I realized something today. My "High" of the day wasn't the best Lumbar Puncture that I did today. It wasn't the fact that work was easy today. It wasn't because I had Winger's for lunch (That was probably a close second)...

...It was that moment that I pulled my POS car into the garage and saw the excitement in my little girls eyes and heard my little boy yell "Hi Daddy" until they went to sleep minutes ago. That is "my High for Today". As far as the "Low" goes... ... I don't even remember anything that could have brought me down for a second with a Family like this. Love you Guys

Happy Late Birthday Haven. I wish I lived by you so Hadley could play with your kids. Haven reminds me so much of Hadley.
